First a bit about braille
Braille is a text code that is made up of six or eight dots. In the basic Grade 1 form, each letter of a word is represented by one six-dot cell. Symbols, numbers, and capital letters are formed using combinations of cells to indicate the different characters and styles.
Grade 2 Braille is more complex and includes an extra 180 letter, word, prefix, and suffix contractions that help make reading easier and more efficient.
Braille takes up quite a bit of space. There is only one size and it is about the same as printing in 26pt font. An average A4 page generally fits about 30 cells per line, and about 27 lines per page - which is approximately 35% of what you'll fit with 12pt font.
